And he means by\u00a0<em>any<\/em>\u00a0measure, from size of cast and crew to a number of cities, to extent of stage design. \u201cAn ongoing joke in the office is, \u2018This tour is so big, it took me 17 months to do all the pre-work for it.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Keyes says this year\u2019s show has tracked similarly to those he\u2019s organized for Murray &amp; Peter Present in prior years. \u201cCompared to 2019\u2019s Christmas tour, the preparation is almost identical,\u201d he says. It hasn\u2019t proven a challenge to ensure all cast and crew members are fully vaccinated and willing to comply with all mask-wearing and pandemic-related safety protocols on the upcoming 38-city tour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ticketmaster.com\/rupauls-drag-race-tickets\/artist\/1841269\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.metroweekly.com\/images\/adverts\/ruPaulWerkTheWorld_2022.png\" alt=\"RuPaul's Drag Race: Werq the World, 08\/02 Baltimore, Pier Six Pavillion, 08\/06 National Harbor. Get Tickets Now. LiveNation\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The inspiration for the show is Disney\u2019s&nbsp;<em>Frozen<\/em>. There\u2019s something poetic about the first show since the pandemic taking inspiration from the Snow Queen-centered tale of being trapped and cut off from loved ones and the world for a protracted period of time. The elaborate wintry set, designed by Keyes, consists of \u201ctwo 15-foot Nutcrackers, over 14 Christmas trees [and] over 18 life-size presents, polar bears, snow owls, you name it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe have a killer cast this year,\u201d he adds. \u201cIt\u2019s phenomenal.\u201d Trinity The Tuck will co-host with Peppermint in select cities, including D.C. and Baltimore. The lineup for both local shows is slated to feature Denali, Kylie Sonique Love, Crystal Methyd, Heidi N Closet, Miz Cracker, and Jan Sport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\" id=\"attachment_203426\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.metroweekly.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/dragChristmas2.jpg\" alt=\"A Drag Queen Christmas:  Crystal Methyd, Denali, Miz Cracker\" class=\"wp-image-203426\"\/><figcaption>A Drag Queen Christmas: Crystal Methyd, Denali, Miz Cracker<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to performing a few numbers each, each queen will have a chance to share, as Keyes puts it, \u201cany fun stories, stuff that\u2019s happened \u2014 who accidentally took a dump on the bus when they weren\u2019t supposed to. They tell all the dirty, dark, secret stuff that the audience really wants to hear.
