Just because Rihanna is getting ready to welcome her first child into the world doesn’t mean she has no time left for other endeavors!
Obviously, we’re talking about the latest addition to Fenty Beauty, not new music. The collection of bold lipsticks is Fenty’s “Icon” line, which dropped this week with an inclusive new ad.
The thirty-second clip features models of various skin tones and gender donning the red and nude shades, with Rihanna herself sporting a classic red, as one might expect.
The promo spot notably features drag queen West Dakota, who helped organize the largest trans march in history in 2020, and lesbian singer and songwriter Asiahn.
“The perfect red lip is the sexiest, most empowering thing you can put on when it comes to beauty,” she told Elle. “When you wear a red lip, it exudes confidence. I love that anyone can put it on and feel strong and sexy with just one swipe.”
This is far from the first time Rihanna has made an effort to be casually inclusive in advertising her products. Even just recently, the Savage X Fenty Valentine’s Day lingerie line featured sexy items specifically for men, with various body types represented as well.
While many Rihanna fans are focused on her surprise pregnancy reveal at the moment, people were still stoked about the lipstick line as well.
“I don’t wear lipstick but y’all make this look like fun,” reads one Instagram comment.
“This is perfection,” another said.
The Icon line is set to drop on February 4th.
