Louis Vuitton has released a new menswear capsule collection by Men’s Creative Director Pharrell Williams. Designed as a seasonal complement to the in store offerings, the capsule responds to the transient nature of spring and summer.
The collection balances core menswear tones with seasonal colors, moving from muted earth tones to vibrant gem shades and soft pastels like French vanilla, sky blue, and lilac. The vision is for a hybrid spring wardrobe where traditional tailoring blends with sporty attitudes and meticulous textile details.
Formal wear is made adaptable, intended to bring distinction to various occasions. The collection integrates the house’s heritage with seasonal joy through specific innovations. Flaps on garments are adorned with the distinctive VVN leather tabs found on Louis Vuitton bags.
Several motifs reinterpret classic house symbols. Rivets and perforations form floral patterns based on the iconic Monogram. The LV Flower X Ray interprets spring through a scientific lens, appearing as a print or jacquard. A classic gingham check is reinvented as Damier Picnic, merging a house motif with a traditional fabric. The Blooming Monogram technique overlays dimensional florals onto familiar designs through overprints, embroidery, or hot fix rhinestones.
